Intercepting this message, the +LE+ prepares a trap, knowing that Council Forces will come. They also ask GRN assistance to be sure they catch them and to show the King that they are good soldiers. They use the Corvo as a bait and take all human personnel out of the ship. Bret is taken to a Junker base where they plan to Bourg-En-Bresse where they want to start experiments on him. The Grand Guilottine and several Royal Capital Ships are sent to 20K from the Corvo. They are told to await the signal from the fighters that are guarding the bait.

As Royal intelligence predicted, The Council starts their attack against the +LE+ fighters that were guarding the Corvo. The Royal armada receives the green light and engages the hostile forces. The Council ships try to avoid the trap but it's already to late. All they can do now is to retreat and hope they will live to fight another day. A bit too confident on their ability to win the fight, the Royals follow the retreating Council, leaving only a wing of fighters to guard the Corvo.

Meanwhile, several wings of fighters and troops transporters, lead by the SMP, attack the Junker base where Bret was held prisoner. The base defences fail to take down the transports and a fire fight inside the station starts. The previous training of the SMP pilots is shown (they were ground troops before flying) and they manage to rescue Bret. SMP transports take the crew of the Corvo back to their ship and engage the small wing that was guarding it. Soon, Bret is back in his ship and the remaining SMP forces attack the Royals in a desperate attemp to help the Council ships.

The Corvo flies away from the fight...
