Attention all Rheinwehr forces,

While preparing to conduct a raid against Liberty positions within the Texas system, Kampfgruppe 15, temporarily led by Hauptfeldwebel Putzkammer, was hailed by a Liberty comms signature originating from a ship of enormous size.

I, aboard the Cruiser Seydlitz was dispatched to supervise the case, by the time we got to Hamburg, the Kampfgruppe was already breaking from its original objectives and gathering around a very real Liberty Dreadnaught, the Overlord itself, running on skeleton crew, with non-essential systems powered down. Admiral in reserve Sarah Willows was leading the vessel, in person.

As the scans were complete and it was determined that the Dreadnaught is not in a position to mount any sort of offensive, the Kampfgruppe was ordered to proceed with their original objectives and commence the onslaught of the Texas system, leaving only a few other vessels behind to supervise the negotiations. As the Overlord surrendered without condition, we proceeded to take the ship over. The Kriegsmarine units located on the Seydlitz boarded the Dreadnaught, taking the crew captive without resistance and escorting Admiral Willows on board the Seydlitz.

The Overlord's bridge was then manned by our crew, then following the Seydlitz, the Dreadnaught proceeded to occupy a mooring point near Alster shipyard, where military shuttles unloaded the ship's crew into custody.

In the meantime, I attempted determining the Admiral's motives in a private conversation on board the Seydlitz. No other motivation than her simply being "tired of how things are handled in Liberty" and wishing to give up her career as an Admiral came up. In response the question why she chose capitulation instead of mere retirement, she simply said it was not her style. She offered the control codes, blueprints and handling instructions of her Dreadnaught in exchange of a guaranteed asylum for her crew, irrelevant of her own well-being.

Unfortunately enough, the Seydlitz was called to attend a red alert situation, sparked by Libertonian forces counter attacking Hamburg, so the negotiations with Admiral Willows couldn't be finished. I forwarded the case to Fleet Admiral Rall, in the meantime the Overlord and her crew are being transferred to Vierlande prison as a temporary holding place.
