It's an individual political favoring. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of Gaians cannot be expected to all have brainwashed, concrete, uniform opinions about everything.
For instance, I like Ireland. Minus the moderately frightening prospect of the IRA, I would like to go there some day. My neighbor doesn't have to like Ireland nor should they have to want to go there simply because we live in the same town and go to the same church.
