The maps that he had studied suggested that the top floor was significantly smaller than those it sat upon. Perhaps three rooms at best, given the wall structure. The stairs emptied out into the central room, with an open study attached and a single door opposite to it. Military emblems, pictures, and figures were arrayed throughout the room, a display of the resident's service to Liberty. "A Navy boy it'd seem," and he stopped to examine a few of the framed pictures. It was obvious from some of the decorations that the man was an officer, which would explain his wealth. Most officers in Liberty were rich with graft same as the police.

With a smirk, Clif padded towards the singular door in the soft glow from the skylights. The engraved copper handle of the ornate door slid smoothly and he pushed it open. The movement was instantly accompanied by a harsh squeal from the hinges, and he heard sounds inside. Abandoning stealth, Clif sprinted into the room and snatched up a vase from one of the dressers. The Military Man had already pushed himself upright before Clif could close the distance. He raised the pottery above his head and brought it down with all the force he could muster. The vessel rang out as it shattered against skull, and the body crumpled.

Instantly, the wife was screaming. She bolted from the bed and towards the door in a desperate attempt to escape. Clif pushed off of the bed and brought his dart gun to bear, letting two rounds fly. They both struck the door with a thud and quivered there, mocking his poor aim. But she was already tearing towards the stairs with Clif in pursuit. He heaved himself through the air and down the stairwell, crashing into the terrified woman. The two tumbled down the whole of the flight of steps before coming to rest at the bottom. So much for a quiet job. He pushed himself up and observed the woman trying to claw her way to the childrens' rooms. One leg was sickeningly twisted over, and it was obvious that she couldn't walk. As her escape was unlikely, he took some time to look himself over. A nasty gash in his arm was all he had to show for the fall. Again, he brought the dart gun to bear, and this time, he didn't miss.

Still no sound from below, nothing to indicate Diana had made her move. He grunted at the pain in his arm while reaching for his radio yet again. "Diana? Diana, I need you to get your sweet ass moving. Din' bring ya on this job for your looks." He bandaged his arm with some torn fabric from the woman's nightgown and waited for a reply on the comm.
