Several days ago, a large Maquis force attacked a prisoner transport convoy transporting their comrades to cells deep within the Bastille, the Acre and a small wing of fighters were tasked to drive them off, but sadly, the Maquis ships were equipped with enough Bombers to do severe damage to our Gunboat. Eventually, I was forced to abandon ship along with the crew while the Fighters fought the Maquis off. It was sad indeed to watch the Acre go up in flames, but our distruction allowed for the transport and its escorts to escape unharmed.
Since then, in replacement for the Acre as a Gunboat, and in light of my recent promotion, I have taken command of a Valor class Battleship. It shal be named the Acre in honour of the Gunboat that fell, and the crewmen who lost their lives on it, as their sacrifice should be remembered and celebrated.
At this time I am unable to provide a crew roster, as we are still incomplete, and are recieving more men from Avallon station within the week. Rest assured, the Acre in her new incarnation shal not fall in the service of the King, and we shal have many victories with her leading from the front.
