Evangeline's confidence grew as she proudly wafted into Sev's personal space - acutely aware of her effect on the slightly taller feline hybrid. Without a moment's hesitation she brought her outstretched hand to rest on the side of Sev's face, gently cupping the intruders' cheek with her palm.
Locking her gaze with Sev she begins gently caressing her; running Sev's fur through her fingers - Evangeline's light touch offering sensations the trained warrior likely has not experienced in a long time.
When was the last time someone gave you the attention you deserve?
She pauses her speech for a moment, moving her hand to scratch behind Sev's left ear, having had significant experience in learning the weaknesses of a cat in the past. Despite Sev being noticeably taller, Evangeline's confidence remained unbreakable, her deep-blue eyes locked in place, staring right into Sev's own, little more than a few inches from her face.
Cats truly are strange creatures. They act tough, independent, haughty and cold. But then, underneath all of that, all they want is the affection and love of their master.
Of course, a house cat can never tell you this. You need to work it out for yourself. You're different, though. You can speak. But they didn't let you speak, did they? Any mention of things like love... affection... desire for friendship...

Evangeline, underneath her confident, dominate exterior, was clutching at straws - planning on picking out the weaknesses of the being before her. Nonetheless, it appeared, in her eyes, to be working.
