Personal History:

Kurt Westwood grew up with a middle class family in the industrial sector of Manhatten's northern hemisphere. At the age of 16 Kurt earned his Mahatten flying license within weeks of his birthday, which made him stand out to the Police as a participant in underage flying lessons. However his case was never persued and Kurt remains resilient on the matter. By the age of 18 he'd passed his Liberty flight license and within weeks of his success had purchased a second hand flight vessel believed to be derived from the civilian Starflier series. For a year or so Kurt wasted away his life earnings in search of a life amongst the independent firms of Manhatten and other New York stations. Occasionally Kurt found small jobs here and there, but they usually payed little and were only short term.

Eventually Westwood found a secure job at an independent mining firm in Pennsylvania. Here he began to hone his mining skills and learnt tricks of the trade from his colleagues. His career at JMP (Jameson's Mining Pennsylvania) lasted seven years before he was considered by DSE for the company's expansion into the mineral industry. Kurt was given a probationary eployment reliant on the success of the business venture. Luckily the project took off and developed into whole division of Deep Space Engineering. Kurt was quickly promoted into a Rig Crew after an order for a number of Hegemon vessels were delivered into the DSE Mining fleet. For fifteen years Westwood stayed his position and rank aboard the DSE Mining Vessel "Crater", Captained by Captain Jacob R. Sanders now deceased. During this time Westwood settled himself on Pittsburgh with his wife and two sons.

Only recently has Westwood's talents for the industry come into light. Upon his promotion to Captain of the DSE Crater, his knowlege on the industry and street smart truly came to the companies advantage. Often being visited by Director Abruzzi for advice on business advice and expansion plans, he was a valued employee to the board. Then after Jacob Abruzzi's unexplained dissapearance with hundreds of millions of credits worth of DSE porperty, Westwood was quickly promoted to the vacated post.
