That said, I'm going to run off and discuss a couple of things with el admin team tomorrow. First being adding a rule regarding conneticut and basing from it into the rules in a more explicit manner, rather than just saying "It's covered by X rule/Y precedent".

The other is finding a method of wording what should be common sense, in a manner which isn't either overly restrictive, or so loose it leaves people open to do whatever the hell they want, regarding the term 'ally'.

I agree - we've (from when I was on the team) sanctioned people in the past regarding the whole Connie issue - both in fleeing into Connie and in staging attacks from Connie - because it's an OORP system. IIRC, there were some serious comments at the time about just plain deleting Connie from the mod completely if it continued to be abused in this manner.

Regarding the term 'ally' - yeah, that causes issues. I know when we came out with our NAP based upon the change in game RP between the Corsairs and the BHG|Core there was a huge scream fest about us allying, when we actually weren't. And there's always screaming when a hunter runs into a Hessian and a Corsair shooting at each other (or a Molly and a Corsair, or a ... you get the idea) - about the hunter allying with the bad guy. That's not allying, and shouldn't be considered to be. (ESPECIALLY when it's a Core that runs into an Order ship fighting a Nomad...)
