I find this pointless. Yes, the large number of ships a battlegroup has are fighter, then gunboats and cruiser, then battleships.

People USUALLY fly around in fighters. Most don't even use capships in battle. When they do, its usually a cruiser, which isn't too difficult for a fair fighter pilot. Its fine the way it is. This is just TOO complicated to even think about doing.

Also, a large group of BS with no fighters or other support are sitting ducks to ONE good fighter pilot. Unless they have a lot of missile turrets, that is.
