Background Information: Yashin was born in a lower-middle-class settlement of New Berlin. Clearly of Slavic descent, Yashin found tightly-knit bonds within his family and his minority community, but was largely ostracized for his differences by the majority of Rheinlanders. He displays non-Germanic features and, as a result of his family's isolation from the community, his speech still exhibits a faint accent untraceable to any other minority group in Sirius.

Through his youth, he was the recipient of much pain and suffering at the hands of his peers and classmates. After his completion of junior technical college and certification to take part in the interplanetary shipping industry, Yashin found yet more bitterness and disappointment as job offer after job offer seemed to vanish into thin air.

It was only after several years of bouncing between low-level temp jobs that Yashin found the Red Hessian Army. His acceptance there was unlike any other non-family group he'd ever experienced before. It was there he learned more about his lineage. Though the Hessians treated him well, and granted him invaluable flight experience -- first as a deckhand for supply runs, and later at the helm of various fighters -- throughout the Omegas, the Hessians' cause was not his own.

In 817, Yashin left the Hessians with good feelings, and resumed looking for work in the area. His search for work led him to a secretive meeting in which the Mandalorian Mercenaries were searching for recruits for the so-called "Loki Squadron." His skills and familiarity with the area were quickly apparent to MM leadership, and he was soon made a full-fledged warrior.

Objectives/Motivation: Yashin hopes to use his skills to earn a comfortable living away from the discrimination and pain he experienced in Rheinland. His ties to the RHA remain, and is sympathetic to their goals, though not entirely convinced of their ability to maintain the reforms they pursue. Above all, he hopes to chase down his lineage and learn more about himself while making it on his own.
