Well, I suppose I should update my logs a bit.

A couple nights ago, I left Manhattan and wound up in conversation with a couple of fellows, one Tavei-something and one Shagohad. I was about to head for California on my way to Bretonia, but my curiosity got the better of me, and I met up with them at Norfolk. Turns out Shagohad was flying a liner similar to the one Eman flies. So I figured I'd give Eman a call and see if he'd like to compare ships with him. I'm not sure what Eman did from there, but I hear they got into a bit of a sparring match. I'm sure Eman will mention it in his logs soon.

Anyway, after calling Eman, I decided to spend the night at Norfolk.

The next day, I figured out that while the Talon may be able to mount a lot of firepower, its powerplant won't let you fire it all for long. I also began to miss the agility of my old Wrath, but I really didn't want anything reminding me of what I was trying to move on from.

In my fight against the NovaPG pilot a week or two ago, I witnessed first hand the agility it had. So I decided to ask around on where I could find one. Knucklehead mentioned seeing them at a Zoner planet called Gran Canaria, so I set course for there.

Knucklehead had told me the easiest way to get to Gran Canaria is to go through the Dublin system, so I found my way there. When I arrived, I spotted a trader and a Molly who happened to be in the UOG. They asked me what I was doing in the system, and I replied I was just on my way to Gran Canaria. They didn't bother me after that, and I found my way to the Omega-49 system.

After buying the Raven's Talon, I found I couldn't mount all of the same weapons I had on the Talon, so I was going to give the Colada del Cids I had back to Knucklehead for safe keeping. But first, I wanted to explore the system a bit more.

When I launched from Gran Canaria, one of the Temporary Autonomous Zoners greeted me. Seems she was advertising some sort of festival they were having. The name wasn't really all that appealing, so I politely said I wouldn't be around for it.

As I found my way to Lanzarote base, another of the TAZ came into the system and asked how things were going with the festival. They were trying to come up with a different approach to advertising the festival as I left the base. I set a course for the far side of the system. I thought I had set the course so it would be well clear of Planet Fuerteventura, so I opened the comm channel to give them my input on the festival, only to be interrupted by the computer warning me that I was entering the atmosphere. Before I could react, my ship was dissolving around me. I managed to escape, and even managed to retrieve most of my gear, but the Coladas I had in my hold did not survive the encounter. Oh well.

Wanting to replace my shield busters with something, I set out for Falkland, thinking that's where they sold the Advanced Debilitator pulse cannons. When I got there, I figured out that they didn't have them after all, so I started to loop back to the New York system, passing through some of the outlying systems on the way.

My course took me through New Berlin again, so I decided to see how I would do against the Wild who showed up there every once in a while. The hunt was a little rocky, but I was able to take a few out before a Rheinland Gunboat showed up to chase my prey away. The hunt is not the same when such a large vessel is involved, so I continued on my way to Detroit Munitions, one of the places that did have the guns I was looking for.

I picked up the guns and decided to take a few practice shots at some Xenos who happened to be in the area, but one of my stray shots hit an Ageira ship, and suddenly my threat board lit up like a Christmas tree. I had no intention of harming the civilians, so I made tracks for Manhattan to let the Ageira folks calm down a bit.

Since I was here anyway, I decided to head home for a while and dictate this log entry. I'm itching to get out and do something, though. So I guess I'll finish up for now.
