I was thinking a similar thing, actually.

Though, I was thinking calling it a Railgun for gunboats and cruisers, and saving the more potent Mass Driver name for Dread-class weapons of the same line, but I didn't consider giving it an ammo count.

On reflection, an ammo count wouldn't be too bad.
