Subject: A day in the Life

Well just another day in the life of a miner. The tears and the sweat all make it worth it at the end of the day when i get that fat pay check. There are many things i love about these people; their hard work, determination, their will to be Independent, and the honesty of the men and women who risk their lives to fuel Siruis with the products to build and grow.

Looking back to my basic training a remember a few things that inspired me. This is from the official IMG archives -->

We are IMG. We are free. And we shall go on being free.

We are the workers - the miners, the traders, and the artisans - who cultivate the resources of space that others have ignored, bringing them to producers throughout Sirius, and using them ourselves to create spacecraft and other technologies for human development. We are the guardians, the sentinels who stand between family and livelihood on the one side, and on the other, those who would threaten to take them from us. We are the explorers, who search into the vast unknown of space, and the pioneers, who see opportunity and potential where others do not, and cannot, for their own failure of imagination. We have defied the odds, and we continue to do so, leaving our allies confident and our enemies stupefied.

We are the Guild. We value work, and we work hard. We harvest, we refine, we create, and we share with others in return for the resources and the funds to care for and protect our ownand to keep going. And we do not harvest and refine and create mere things alone. No, we refine ourselves, and we refine each other. We pursue excellence in our chosen professions, because that is what it means to belong to a guild. That is what it is to be the Guild.

I think we all should read this and remember who we are and why we are here. It bothers me to see us so aggressive to our enemies when they pose no threat to our business (at times). We are the ones who seem to be provoking the constant attacks on our people and maybe if we just sit back and look at things from a different view we can see why. So my advice is too sit back and worry about US and not get aggressive until we are the ones taking fire first. We are miners not a military and if others see us becoming a military threat then of future looks grim.
