' Wrote:Mate, I am not comparing trading with trying to earn funds by making missions in a fighter. Of course trading is a faster way to earn funds and theres no point in making such a comparison. Some missions against capital ships need tweaking and thats all. The most logical thing to do -in my opinion- is to build a trader character for providing funds for your fighter. If you still very much want to have roleplay fun with your fighter just try to involve in some events as a freelancer or join a guild or do some bounty missions. As you see there are a lot of things you can do, but just do not whine that trading is a FASTER way to earn funds than doing missions in a fighter which sounds ridiculous. It also depends on which trading vessel you have, and to reach a large train you still need to spend considerable time if you are not boosted by anybody.
Why is there no point in making such a comparison? There are three ways to make money in FL; Trading, Missions, and Mining. Trading is dominant, followed by mining, followed by missions. One being the completely dominant way to get money is definitely imbalanced. Why should I HAVE to trade to support my Fighter? I think money transferring between accounts is stupid. If you want a fighter character, make them make their money in a roleplaying sense, not that they have some mysterious entity giving them massive amounts of cash for doing nothing.

...What? I have no idea what you're saying or how it applies to anything.

I'm saying that it's very rare for someone to use their fighter account most of the time. They usually use their "combat" (aka capital ship) account when they want to actually kill something. I have no problem with people having alternate accounts, I'm just saying most people shouldn't have an alternate fighter account just because they get bored of owning everything in their capital ship.
