I actually believe RP events across the server (But only official scheduled one's like battles and conferences) should affect the mod story.
Actually... idea, I vaguely remember something about a KNF/BAF fight a while back using /restart commands. How about this:
Using the Gailic invasion as an example, even though it's already set in stone:
Different restart commands for normal fighters on each side (Say GRN & Council) for the push through to Sirius, and then some restart commands for bombers, GB's Cruisers, and BS's. Now the higher leveled things on each side could be random number strings, or like a random phrase like: /restart GreenMonkey could get you a GRN BS, then only a select few know these commands, and everyone know the basic fighter/bomber one for each side.
Players join the teams, the battle begins for say Mont Pellier (w/e) guard station, and the winner of the battle is the winner in RP...

This way, the teams could have a few people with BS's (As only a few are told for balance reasons) and a few more with cruisers... etc, on each side... imagine 200 people in one battle? 5 BS's on each side, 10 Cruisers, 15GB's 30Bombers and 40Fighters. EPIC!!!!!!!
