Just wondering

I'm not complaining in any way, but just wondering....
I came here from another "big" server not too long ago, and Im just wondering...If this server is that balanced as u guys say it is, why missiles do so little damage here, even torps dont do the damage they should have.
On the other servers, missiles do alot of damage, so r the torps. It made players learn to get skilled and not to get killed. Each ship had at least 2-3 torp slots and up to 8 guns on each VHF.
The one thing I find here, is that anybody can make a buncha of money and buy themselves Cruisers, BS's etc.
...and that dont really seem that balanced to me...I mean even if ur a great VHF fighter pilot, u dont have any chances fighting ships that are way bigger than u.
Again, Imnot complaining, but just wondering why missiles and torps (wich could help smaller ships have a better chance of survival against big ships) have no value here at all????
