Guten Tag Meine Damen und Herren.

I am Thomas Sledge. You might ask, what the hell am I doing, applying to the Army. My reasons are simple. I'm a smuggler, born in Bretonia, but have moved to Rheinland long ago. I used to do runs all around Rheinland and Bretonia, mostly to the Mollies, Junkers and on quite a few occasions, I made my way to Hessian bases in the Omegas.

However, the life of a smuggler is always hard, especially when the Rheiland Military always seem to know where you exactly are. Since a year now, most of my runs ended up with no cash, but busted by the governmental houlds, who did nothing else but rob people from their work.

My life didn't go better in the Omegas either. Corsairs everywhere, who were most excited to take my cargo away when the realised it's going to support Hessians. But that's the smaller problem. My parents are retired tradesmen, who decided to live on Stuttgart for the rest of their lives, but in conditions I wouldn't even keep a dog. They live day by day, under the constant pressure of the government's taxes , etc. And I want to change that. I know quite a few people around Rheinland, most of them are or were hard working people, who still have nothing because of the rule of the Kanzler, and the way he controls people.

I want to change all that, and wish to support the revolution in any way I can. And the best way I can do this is to fight for the Hessian Army, to fight for what I belive in. I might not be a born Rheinlander, but trust me, I care just as much for the people of Rheinland as you.

*As I've said before, I used to fly small smuggling craft throughout the Omegas, mostly freighters, and I had my very own Scimitar-class fighter.
