Nah, the thing is that when i saw that detachment i saw a message
"F U guys, you aren't competent to show a good picture of us, so I'll operate this freeport alone and do it on my own. We're still cool, but you suck balls when it comes to politics"
but mostly you just said "whoops, not my battle. Pulling out" and when things went back to normal you were "hi guys". Right or no right, I doubt that anyone has more presence around FP11 than you do and that alone should not allow any faction to "kick you out of there".
EDIT:
It's not just the food, its the pharmacy and the entire roleplay that managed to make Zoners stay alive. Look at omicron Theta. Give me one sane reasons either outcasts or corsairs wouldn't claim it for themselves. When zoners came they didn't come with 25 destroyers and said "mine bitch" they came with biodomes, things Corsairs needed and well, outcasts too. They came bringing gifts and by their politics they remained there.
The frikkin profit is low, so what? I didnt say being a Zoner is a walk in a park. I said it's frikkin hard. But check this out.
Imagine if few freeports separated and actually managed to form awesome relationships with everyone around. A zoner belonging to a faction (factioned zoner) could walk to freeport in Kepler (or galileo, wherever it is) and buy counterfit software. He would then have a protection (or eyes) from the lawful forces all the way back to the outer worlds where he would sell that. Because everyone would be happy to help a guy, who's faction is helping the other factions develop roleplay.
Corsairs get food - corsairs get stronger, corsairs get pharma and water - corsairs prosper. corsairs develop great relationships with zoners - corsairs get biodomes, corsairs get biodomes - zoners get a true and dedicated protector - zoners get that - zoners prosper a lot. its just an example, but it's how roleplay works
