Eventful patrol. More eventful than pretty much any other one I flew this month.
It all began with me and Flieger Lee running a standard check of Omega-7 and Stuttgart, during which we intercepted a Camara-class Freelancer transport in possession of some unusual cargo. Aside beryllium, military vehicles and a bunch of tied down people piled up into cells, the freighter was also in possession of organic material, which was pretty obviously of nomad origin.
Following a brief persuasion, the freighter, designated as Dracleon; decided to cooperate with our orders to relinquish the possible nomad material to space, which I confiscated and took to Karlsruhe for processing. A smaller MND detachment was dispatched to handle the case, I'm unaware of the results of the investigation and I never personally observed the cargo outside my scanner.
In Stuttgart, Oberfeldwebel Kreuzchen and Gefreiter Landers joined our patrol, so I've split the wings in two. The Oberfeld with Landers took Hamburg and Dresden, while me and Lee got to follow a Bowex convoy making its way through Frankfurt, producing quite a lot of events in their pass which they probably don't even know about.
First off, we stumbled upon an Interspace trading vessel, the John Warwolf, carrying military vehicles in Rheinland, which is a prohibited activity for Liberty corporations. The captain attempted to fool us by saying he was from Bretonia, but we were not remotely as ignorant as he thought we were. His attempt to flee and the lack of cooperation he showed forced me to take the case over from Lee who was trying to be subtle, then I proceeded to demand the military vehicles he had on board.
The captain didn't really wait for us to charge our weapons, he attempted cloaking out about as soon as I made the seizure demand for the cargo bay's content. We fired a few bursts at the Interspace ship and destroyed it, rendering the military vehicles out of the possession of Liberty assets.
Little after leaving Mainz, we ran into a Corsair gunboat, the Le-Cornue, it was probably looking to ambush the Bretonian convoy on their way back. After a brief exchange of words, it opened fire at us, with a Hessian randomly appearing from the asteroid field, we made short work of the pirate vessels.
We gave the Hessian, Ip Mon (apparently of the Red Hessian Army) a chance to leave in peace, which he didn't use and proceeded to attack me and Flieger Lee. We made short work of the Odin attacking us, damaging its communicator heavily in the process, seeing that he kept transmitting static throughout half of the battle, begging for mercy in the end.
Too late.
Our patrol's last station was Sigma-13, where I met Henrik Drum, former Hauptfeldwebel of the Rheinwehr. He was in possession of cardamine and several RFP captives, but the traitor managed to get away before we disposed of him. A more important issue came up during the discussion anyway, a distress signal from a RepEx shipment, No. 814 to be precise.
Flieger Lee went off to scout the nebula, I followed shortly afterwards. 814 was pinned down by a pair of Blood Dragon vessels near Gas Miner Naha, we didn't have time to ask for GMG permission to enter the area, seeing as we had to act quickly to preserve Rheinland interests.
The pair of Kusari terrorists were scared off by our patrol, vessel 814 was escorted to Rheinland territory safely. After landing on Fulda, I signed off patrol.
