I doubt it took "seconds". Even with a large planted bomber, a cruiser shield takes some 4 or 5 SNs to drop (which you are not gonna be firing off at their 0.25 refire rate, due to your energy regen rate), and then you have to worry about the shield coming back up.

Yes, a bomber can solo a cruiser through application of debs onto a recently-regened shield, but it is far from easy, especially if the cruiser is shooting back. Capship weapons are fast, and they hurt, coming within 600m to unload your debs is painful.

Please don't go around bemoaning the "overpoweredness" of SNs without getting in a bomber and trying to attack a battleship at least once. Once you do that, you will realise why SNs are as they are.

it's a fair point, i said so myself i should really fly on the other side of the SNAC before i judge, and as for what happened, the shields did go down and the hull halfed in seconds, maybe i was mistaken and the cruisers did open up on me too, or maybe there was another bomber that i missed (the radar was full of red) but it did happen in seconds.
