Shootout in London, Constable gunned down in hostage situation, two officers injured
[font=Comic Sans Ms]Exclusive report by Mandy Simons

Police reports have confirmed that the hostage situation which erupted in New London yesterday evening left a Bretonia Police Authority officer, Constable Alastair Graham Hind as well as at least two unidentified Armed Forces officers, dead at the feet of Coalition terrorists.

Witnesses and survivors of the massacre confirmed that the Constable flew from the orbit of Planet New London to confront a pair of vessels, later identified to be of the commonly seen Coalition bomber class, nicknamed "Revolution" by its pilots. With blind bravery, Constable Hind attempted to reason with the terrorists, even trying to make a peaceful arrest of the individuals, regardless of the fact that they were of superior odds.

Following a brief exchange of words, Constable Hind identified captive and unconscious Bretonia Armed Forces pilots in the hold of the terrorist bombers, the exact quantity of the hostages was never named, according to witnesses. Just when the Constable seemed to have succeeded in persuading the captivators to release the Armed Forces personnel, the terrorists took a ruthless surprise move with jettisoning the Armed Forces pilots into space, then proceeding to destroy the escape pods they were still occupying.

Enraged by the mischievous act of terror, Constable Hind proceeded to engage the bombers, to which as a response, a further pair of Coalition very heavy fighters believed to be of Rheinland origin emerged and assaulted the officer attempting to force an arrest.

Against such odds, the officer called backup, Junior Constable Jim Mayfield and Sergeant Kiriko Hidamari, both of the Bretonia Police Authority soon arrived, but due to the fact that they engaged the hostiles separately, the light fighters all three officers flew hardly stood a chance. Officer Mayfield's vessel was shot down immediately, Constable Hind's ship was hit by a mine shortly before Sergeant Hidamari's arrival.

The specific cause of the Constable's death is unknown, it is believed that his eject mechanisms malfunctioned, thus the pilot was trapped in his Hussar when the reactor core exploded. The state of the two injured officers is currently unknown and it is believed that the Coalition terrorists responsible for at least three officers brutally murdered, made their escape to Omega space, where they have hidden themselves.

[color=#C0C0C0][font=Comic Sans Ms]"This terrible example of communist terror,"
Armed Forces Captain Patrick McReary declared, "calls the whole Kingdom to awareness. The Coalition seeks nothing but to bring terror and destruction into Bretonia, the soulless execution of the Armed Forces officers is a foresight of what awaits us all if we don't resist their menace. Constable Hind of the Bretonia Police Authority with his bravery and heroism is a model of Bretonian behavior, his sacrifice should be an example to all."

"Alastair... he was sometimes a bit thick in the head," stated a fellow officer of Hind, Constable Henry Eden, "but he was a good fellow, one with a heart. A heart he gave for Bretonia and the Queen, but I never thought this may happen so soon. Man, I'll miss him..."

The date of the Constable's funeral, along with the Armed Forces hostages yet to be identified, is unknown and will not be disclosed by the authorities. The murderers, along with the Coalition leadership are being searched by both the Police and the Armed Forces, with so far little success, while government officials began using the terrible act of terrorism as detergent from showing sympathy to the Coalition cause.
