Jeffrey was sitting alone with his thoughts at the bar. The dimmed lights allowed Jeff to think clear and straight, he sat there in silence as the bartender walked up and down the bar, cleaning and collecting glasses. The bar was quite, only a few conversations filled the bar. Jeff was joined by a man who sat next to him, wearing a black leather coat, Jeff didn't pay attention to the man until he ordered a drink, the familiar voice puzzled his head. Jeff turned his head slightly, trying to pin the voice in his head. As Jeff saw the face, he leaned up slightly as he knew who this known figure was.
"Ca..Calum ?" Jeff asked, not sure if his thought was correct. The man didn't say anything in return, he just say there, taking a sip of his Liberty Ale before replying.
"Long time no see, friend" The man turned and smiles softly.
"What are you doing here ?" Asked Jeff surprised by his sight.
"Like I said the other day, I've return, or so to speak" Before Jeff could reply, the man started talking again.
"Look.. I'm sorry about charging in your office, it was disrespectful, and unwelcoming." Jeff turned back to his glass.
"Hm, no problem.. just don't do it again" Jeff said, unhappily. Calum started to sense the awkwardness, he sat in silence untill he decided what was to be said next.
"So, ask me" Calum said, turning his body slightly to Jeff. Jeff, sat still looking at his glass.
" I have nothing to say Calum, what is done is done." Jeff said looking emotionless.
" Jeff.. look" Jeff snapped to Calum, showing some anger in his facial expression.
" Don't you, 'jeff look' me.. your the one which went galabanting after people who noone has heard of ! Don't you dare think I'm in the wrong." Jeff turned back to his drink taking a aggressive sip.
"Hey, I had to do what I had to do.. So don't you dare think everything is my fault..." Jeff chuckled a little at Calum's response.
"I see you haven't changed much then.. " Jeff took a sip of his half empty glass.
"I haven't, but my life has.." Jeff turned a little, noticing Calum had his head down looking at his freshly made drink.
"What do you mean ?" Jeff asked curiously.
"Nothing, I didn't mean anything" Calum said fast.
"So, what the frack have you been doing with the Hackers ?" Jeff said, seeming slightly mad. Calum sighed and turned to Jeff.
"Well, I guess you have a right to know... they had Christine.. and in return I should give them as much information about The Vengeance as possible.." Calum stopped and he clenched his glass.
"Calum.." Jeff said.
"They killed her Jeff !" Calum snapped at Jeff, with the glint of fury and rage is his eyes.
" They killed her, and left her body to rot in space !"
"What ?!" Jeff said, sharing the fury.
"I tried.. god knows I tried to get her" Calum slammed his fist down on the counter. Jeff remained in silence, as Calum calmed down.
"No children should witness their mother floating away in space.." Calum said lowering his head even more.
"Naomi, Daniel.." Jeff said shocked.
"They're fine.." Calum looked up at Jeff. " Jeff, I'm a lone farther, if I need help.. It's now.."
