Oh, I believe the limit also was because the systems preloaded and going past that point kilsl the preload, which in turn the system cant register. In other words, you cant manually fly form say New Berlin to Hamburg because the Jumpgate/hole is what intiates the preload of the system. It kills you to prevent that preload methinks or other complications.
