If you want to understand the story, then get them all. If you want to play multiplayer only, get DoW I and Dark Crusade, coach your <strike>METAL BOXES</strike> space marines to a victory after another. They're freaking awesome.

Edit: I've got them all. And RAL, I play AoE 2 from time to time:D
