Name: Dr. Gabriel Young Age: 58 Gender: Male Origin: Ames Research Station, Kepler System Citizenship: Libertonian Biography: Gabriel was born on Ames Research Station in the Kepler System on November 21st, 760 A.S. His parents, Ava and Forrest, were Zoner researchers. In early 760 A.S., the Zoners took over the Ames Research Station from Deep Space Engineering and rebuilt it. During the reconstruction, Ava and Forrest founded "Young Science". Their goal was to expand large space craft's sickbays into infirmaries that were equipped with software that would have the knowledge of many studies and diseases. This goal would allow the team and other Zoners to travel safely to the depths of Sirius in the name of research.
When Gabriel was 16 years old, he decided to learn the trade of his parents and studied under them. He was always interested in two subjects; behavioral science and the software that his parents created. After assisting in the development of Omnia Scire ("OS"), a software created by Young Science, he lead the development team that implemented the software into a Liberty Vessel, the "Mastodon" when he was 24 years old. Gabriel called the Mastodon, "Providence"; named after his belief in the OS. Two years after, the "Providence" was ready for field study.
Gabriel's parents retired happily and settled down on Planet Curacao in the Cortez System. Gabriel felt obligated as the new president of Young Science to learn how to be a captain of a Mastodon, so he changed his citizenship to Libertonian and continued schooling at Trenton Outpost to be trained as a captain.
Four years later, when Gabriel was 30 years old, he graduated from Trenton Outpost with a license to be an affiliate with Universal Shipping Incorporated. Without hesitation, he registered the "Providence" and deemed himself as captain and leader of research. Without a decent sized crew, he searched Sirius for the best of the best. This is when he ran into Marcus Nolan, an irish-bretonian scientist that studied the behaviors of pirates and their background. Gabriel was so intrigued that he offered room & board to Marcus, his wife Jennifer and his daughter Maeve.
Travelling from sector to sector in Sirius, the OS gathered much information and the crew cured many diseases. The only problem was that Young Science was running out of funds. Gabriel took this as a business opportunity and met with Vice President Michael Trenton of the Universal Shipping Incorporated. Mr. Trenton bought out Young Science and Gabriel was hired into the Department of Trading. Mr. Trenton knew that this Omnia Scire software would prove to be useful in deep space trading and allowed Dr. Young to continue his research with the understanding that he would give full disclosure to Mr. Trenton.
Since then, the "Providence" has been trading and gathering information for Universal Shipping Incorporated. Ms. Maeve Nolan signed up for the Social Services Office and her parents stayed aboard the "Providence". Gabriel is known to have an annoying humor and a calm-collective attitude when encountered with hostiles.
Strengths: Knowledge of many sciences and studies; great skills as a captain, doctor and navigator. Weaknesses: Known to act as a hero when someone is in trouble. Friends: Zoners, Universal Shipping Incorporated, Ageira, and most Bretonians. Foes: Thieves, pirates, and those against [*USI*].
Goals: To cure the thirst for Cardamine; to stop the production of counterfeit software; to one day hand down the "OS" and retire from Universal Shipping Incorporated.
