Due to assorted roll-overs and no one hitting it, the Mega-Millions multi-state jackpot this Friday is $500,000,000 (and will probably go higher as the feeding frenzy commences).

Yes, that's $500 MILLION USD - half a BILLION dollars.

Depending upon where you live in the country and with state taxes, if you took the cash option (instead of the annuity where you get yearly payments for 26 years), you'd end up with about $255 million after taxes. If you're an alien - as in non-US resident, you'd end up with about $240 million after taxes.

That's cash. One lump sum.

Call it a cool 250 mil - a QUARTER OF A BILLION FREAKING DOLLARS - all at once.

Just curious about how you'd spend some of your sudden wealth if you got it. You can be as perfectly greedy as you want, just be reasonably intelligent in your responses. (I know, this is flood, so I'm not actually expecting intelligent answers, but I can hope, right?)
