Another problem with ammo, is that they'd have to return to base after exhausting their torps... their primary weapons. This would count as a death in a PvP situation, not great.

This depends on a payload maximum, if it's good then the bombers should have enough torpedoes to bring down enemy capital without retreating to reload.

Oh well, some people like current situation, some don't, that's all to be said.
