A New Beginning

Death Runner sat back in his wheelchair and rolled over to where several drinks had been laid out for the gathering. He listened to Set Ramirez as he spoke, and watched him gulp down the brandy. After Set had put aside his glass, Death Runner grabbed the rest of the drinks and dropped them onto the floor, shattering and spilling them.

"oops."

The group stared a bit at him, and he merely replied with a wink at Set.

"Yes, Mr. Ramirez, your group will come in much handy. Knowledge is power these days. If we can remain but a simple step ahead of our enemies with information, that will be our key to victory. It is a good thing indeed, the intelligence. But.. until this is implemented and your.. special group of little soldiers are actively conducting missions, it is only small talk. For now I think it is agreeable that you remain a representative on this new council for independent outcasts. Though in time and when your men are ready, things will change. It is only logical."

The man looked around and sighed a bit.

"Would be a good thing indeed, having valid intelligence to use.. Well. Anyways. Mrs. Mancini, might want to call someone to clean up this broken glass."
