The Mandalorians continue the proud tradition of their Warrior blood-line. They have traveled far from their home planet of Mandalore. They are shrewd negotiators, and are known for their excellence in piloting and their acceptance of any willing warrior.
The Mandalorians do not speak to others of the Exodus. It was a dark time. But arriving in Bretonia, the Mandalorians won the favor of the Queen and were allowed to make their home there. Soon after arriving, a former Bretonian Military officer, John Cabot, was made Mandalore, cementing the bond with their adopted land. Assistance against the Kusari was very welcome, and was a specific priority of the new Mandalore, who had known much personal loss at the hands of the Kusari.
Soon after their settlement in Bretonia word spread about these strangers who could do battle with such cold competence. It was not long until the stories about them reached to the outer regions of Sirius space. To the Outcasts, who also required allies against their enemies. For a price, of course...
The Bounty Hunters of Manchester quickly learned the value of the Mandalorians, and granted them official Mercenary status. They were unwilling to grant them full membership to the Guild, however. These friends of Outcasts and killers of Kusari needed to be kept at arm's length, they reasoned, for political expediancy.
The Mandalorians are all a family, united by old traditions, with specific rules and social ranks. They welcome every pilot willing to undergo their training, but those who join must abide their rules. It is rumored that insubordinate pilots simply are no longer seen, nor are they mentioned in conversation. To disobey the law is an affront to the Mandalore. And to offend the Mandalore is to cease to exist.
Nor are the Mandalorians a monolithic entity. The faction politics are complex. Wheels turn within wheels. The Dha'wherd, a cult within the Mandalorians, are the dark underbelly of the organization. They fall in and out of favor depending on their usefulness to the Mandalore and Consuls. They were assassins, and had no compunction about killing anybody, anywhere, anytime. Their initiation rituals were said to involve murder. The Mandalore has banished them, scattered them throughout Sirius, to act as scouts for the Faction. They are not pleased with this, but have been effectively defanged. For now...
Honour is extremely important to the Mandalorians, the primary value. They will not take contracts against friends. They are not specifically lawful, just consistent, and are ruthless in combat, but treat a worthy enemy with respect.
OORP: We are in NOT any kind of Star Wars fanboys. We neither relate to Star Wars in our RP nor do we mention it at any time. Our RP is focused on Freelancer ONLY and that will never change.
Requirements
This faction has few requirements, so we expect them to ALL be filled.
1: Above Average RP skills.
2: Act appropriately and obey ALL Discovery Rules. Why? Because we pride ourselves on this: As of this date, NO Mandalorian has yet been sanctioned. Problem members will be removed. Not gently.
3: We operate using the site mystacx.net/ysymm. This allows us to have private boards and to keep track of our various contracts. Everyone must register there.
Benefits (Sign on bonus)
You start with 15-25 million credits (depending on need). With that we will help you to set up a fully loaded Fighter or Bomber within our regular restrictions. In special cases more credits will be allotted.
"Small" payments (for example a simple escort job) won't be accounted and you can do with them what you want.
For collected bounties and other large sums refer to our forums.
Training will be provided, and assistance when called. We take care of our own.
1: Always RP and keep System Chat in RP AND English at all times.
2: We are a mercenary faction, so follow all the rules of a mercenary in the license. ALL [M] characters need a mercenary id, and a Bounty Hunter tag, since regrettably, there is not yet a mercenary tag.
3: We believe that every person is entitled to ONE mistake. After that one mistake, depending on the severity of the rule infraction, you will be banished, or otherwise internally punished, such as by demotion.
4: Nobody can get a capital ship, above gunboat size. The mercenary ID prevents that.

Ranking System
Our ranking system is very simple. We are not military.
The Mandalore provides all promotions, in consultation with the Consuls.
Warrior:
Basic rank in Mandalorians
May fly a fighter or bomber, some exceptions may be assigned a gunboat if they are very proficient
Alor'ad:
Mandalorian term for 'Captain', or 'Leader of Men'. Given to Warriors who demonstrate the ability to lead men in battle, and who have also earned the honour. Allowed a gunboat.
Consul: There are always exactly three consuls, to balance the power of the Mandalore
(Currently Gronath, Flo, and Photuin are the consuls)
The Mandalore's successor is always one of the consuls. The transition of power is almost always violent.
Consuls are second only to the Mandalore, this rank is an honor if it is bestowed upon you.
Mandalore: (Dieter)
Leader of the Faction, there is no second to the Mandalore.
Permitted Ship List
Size of Ships : The mercenary ID permits us to use only Gunboats and smaller ships.
Type of Ships : As Mercenaries, we have few restrictions on ships we cannot use, but for RP purposes, some types of ships are encouraged, some are discouraged, and some are altogether not permitted.
Encouraged ship types : Mostly Civilian
Discouraged Ship Types : Corsair, and most other unlawful. Also military vessels from the 4 lawful houses.
PLEASE NOTE : If a ship is not on the above "encouraged" list, it still actually quite likely could be permitted. Please PM Gronath or Flo and ask their opinion. They are excellent for that sort of thing.
Weapons : Mostly military and civilian. Since we are BH Tagged, Order, Corsair and KNF weapons are considered OORP. Other unlawful weapons can be OORP, to be determined on a case by case basis. Your weapons and your ship should not conflict. When in doubt, ask Gronath or Flo.

Goals
(Is this some sort of mission statement? Very well then...)
We strive to conveniently fashion parallel assassination paradigms so that we may endeavor to quickly integrate lethal business intellectual, aerospace, and capabilities capital to set us apart from the competition, and consequently leverage high-impact termination services, AKA, kills. For money.
