Ernst was taken aback by Ms Allen's reply. He fondles his glasses for a while, trying to think of an answer.

Fortunately for him, one of the guards interrupts the conversation with news about the VIP Poker Table. His pushes up his glasses and gives a bright smile.

Seeing the two ladies somewhat uninterested in gambling, he frowns slightly. He puts his fingers together, forming a cage. "It seems both of you have stuff to attend. But so do I." He gets off his seat and dusts his suit. "I have a little date with lady luck."

Very ironic, taking into consideration his usual bad luck.

With that, he took off. Probably hoping to escape the conversation as quickly as possible.
