I'm doing that one right now. But how the hell do I get Cass (or whatever her name is) to come with me to Freeside? She just doesn't want to move until she gets a caravan licence.

P.S. I'm doing the mission she gave me (working for Crimson Caravan) in the hope that that'll get her to come with me, but I'm not sure if it'll work.

If you work for Crimson Caravan, you'll get a mission to buy the caravan she lost and after doing so you can ask her to be your companion.

Also, to anyone worried about the ability to be 'bad', from what I've seen there's not even a good side in the game, just one pretending to be good while conducting slavery and crucifying people, another pretending to be good while being a bunch of corrupted drunkards and gamblers and a last one not even hiding his will to dominate the entire wasteland, killing anyone who's not willing to aid him. They're all like a bunch of Hessians, pretending to be the good boys while plundering and killing all the way. ^__^
