So, based on a bad encounter with a poorly RP'd pirate (as if we all haven't encountered someone that RP's poorly) you'd like to enact sweeping changes to the game?

But in short, no. Faction tags broadcast who you are and what your intent is. Demanding them to be present is like demanding your IFF and ID match up. Many people simply don't want to - and I'm okay with that. But it's a double edged sword: Those tagless folk tend to get extra scrutiny from me in a combat craft (I'm generally lawful).
