How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction

Of the entire Corsair vs Zoner mess, the Corsair's claims to have solved their food problem, and the Zoner's claims to be able to hold off the entirety of the Corsair navy are the only parts I disagree with. There is no lore that supports either claim. Any faction that, in lore, has a supply problem can easily make a bunch of transports or hire another faction to send them goods, but that doesn't mean it fits the roleplay. I, personally, think Samura going through the Omicrons with transports laden with food to send to Crete is plain silly. The government may be a Samura majority, but not the entirety of it, nor would the populace support Samura sending food to Corsair pirates. This is something BHG Core pulled, saying they had no supply issues when in lore, they very much did. I disagree with both.

I likewise disagree with the Zoners being so militaristic and saying they can fight off the Corsairs when all lore points towards them using trade deals in order to deal with issues that arise.

The Zoners definitely hold blame for the current problems' escalation. The Corsairs hold blame for disregarding part of the lore that happens to be the Zoner's only card to play in such a roleplay situation, forcing the Zoners to play an OORP card that doesn't fit their faction.

There is no lore to show Samura would take food to Crete, no lore to show AFA/Hogosha could even get enough food to send to Crete, or that Kusari would even support Samura doing such, let alone that a few player transports do not constitute enough supplies to feed an entire planetary nation.

At the start of the conflict I was fully on the side of the Corsairs from a community member/player point of view. However, my support for the Corsairs has been waning with this disregard for roleplay and refusal to allow the Zoners to play the roleplay established by the lore. It's a situation I find particularly disappointing. The fact that people are still criticizing the Zoners out-of-roleplay over not making any efforts to end the fighting with the Corsairs and instead taking a militant approach I find even more disappointing, since it is the Corsairs who are refusing to allow them to actually play the RP people are telling them to.

I think it's high time some players, on both sides, start thinking about the players on the other side of the fence, and start thinking realistically, instead of only what helps them the most. Everyone can roleplay whatever they want. What makes it good or bad is if it fits the lore and if it is realistic. I'm sure it's great for the Corsairs to solve their food crisis, and I'm sure it's great for the Zoners to be able to hold off the Corsair military, but neither has support of the lore, and neither is realistic given the situations both factions are in.
