I'm saying that Putzkanner committed suicide, and after that the "primary" fleet just collapsed and was absorbed into the normal Police.. Of course this isn't going to affect the NPC faction. Unfortunately.

Of course the leaders of Rheinland can change what happened to the "primary" fleet, but Putzkanner has committed suicide and nothing is changing that.

Understandable. Most police factions are pointless since the Navies are more popular.

Exactly. Police factions need to be removed entirely or buffed with a Navy nerf.

It's naive of me to say this but I have heard several planned changes to enhance the attraction of police factions in the next mod...

Yeah, I know... but still, let's hope no other police factions would come to the same fate, it's true that the RM has been pretty much doing everything the RFP should have, but it was mainly due to the huge activity gap between the two organizations.

Talking out of personal experience (BPA), the role play and the issues of concern can be largely different between the military and the police force, if you actually take your time with developing it and generate interest, hopefully in cooperation with the military.

There is such as large activity gap because the Military does do - or rather did do - our jobs. And to be honest, it is just tiring and pointless, because the members of the RFP just do not get involved with the forum RP that we do. That's why I never tried that 80 Year War investigation, because it wouldn't be an RFP RP story: it'd just be me. And the fact that I'm writing an investigation would never attract any new members.

I just have neither the time nor patience. I do not believe Police and Navy factions can coexist in most Houses in their current form. Liberty only has an active Police faction as well as Navy faction because of the massive player base there.

And I don't see why we need to cooperate with the Military, however for it to work we would need to as they are so powerful. We shouldn't need to rely on another faction giving us things to do to survive. We're the Police, not Bounty Hunters.
