P.S. I'm happy to report that it looks like Orlando, Florida just fired perhaps the most vile, despicable, hate-mongering troglodyte ever to kiss babies and rob grandmothers while shaking grandpa's hand. That would be U.S. House District 8.

Does anyone really have any doubts which way I was supporting?

Think about this, too - with the exception of the blip around Chicago, and the blip that is East St. Louis - the rest of the entire state of Illinois voted red instead of blue.

Charles Krauthammer basically said that this election was basically a return to the status quo ante pre 2006, because with the exception of parts of the Northeast, the big cities in the middle (Chicago, St. Louis, and to my chagrin, even Indianapolis), and the granola state, everything else in this country IS red territory. The actual net change versus how things were in 2006 is a +10 in the house, not the +65 just from Tuesday.

Now what'll be interesting is in 732 days, the NEXT general election. Hillary supporters are still out there, and aren't letting go of their dream. The south - long a bastion of the Democrat Party - no longer is. Actually finding an actual southern Democrat is nearly impossible now - only 19 out of more than 180 seats made it - and that includes the Blue Dogs.

Do the Republicans have to compromise with Obama and the still Democrat led Senate? Hell, no. They've seen their marching orders from the public this election. If - and I admit that it is a big if - Boehner doesn't listen to people like DeMint then they'll hand it all back to the Dems in 2012, because the Tea Party WILL in time supplant the Republican Party - separately if need be.

It's still amazing and amusing how all of the dirty tricks always seem to come from the Dem side of things. Seems that in some of the races they've suddenly found whole boxes of ballots that hadn't been turned in before - and the votes are all coming up (D). Amazing how that happens every single time. Remember that Al Franken ended up going to the Senate on found ballots - and the actual vote difference was only 350 when all the ballots were counted. Of course, they also pointed out about 5 months after the election results were certified that 500 ballots that went towards Franken ended up coming from prison inmates that didn't actually HAVE the right to cast a ballot - which means he's in the Senate due to vote fraud.

Pity poor Keith Olberman from MSNBC. Seems that it's okay for him to complain that the parent company of Fox News donated to the Republican Party - even if Fox News itself didn't... (although he'd never admit that). But darn - now that the election is over, seems that he violated the ethics clause in his contract and donated to the Democrats - and even worse, he got caught... and now he's looking for a job...
