How a player faction excludes a characteristic of the NPC faction

This is cobblers.
The sizes of some peoples egos are imeasurable. On all sides of this disagreement, people appear to have taken the thread as a personal insult upon themselves and it must be rebuffed no matter how stupid they look, and judging by the post count, they sure are trying.

A lot of what the guys on Freeport 9 have said, indies or otherwise is inaccurate and misleading. So badly misleading in some cases that it amounts to bearing false witness. With that in mind, their intent seems evident.

The Corsair diplomacy is as usual, about as pleasant to deal with as a dose of gonorrhea. What started out as quite sensible has degenerated into a farce with slanging matches taking place all over the forums like spoilt children.

This is the internet. Threats about what your going to do to in game don't really scare anyone. From no food ever to dropping your trousers. (Ok, the last one might be a little scary in a weird way I suppose).
It's a game. I can die. Four hours later I am alive again and nothings changed. Get realistic, read the information you have (again in some cases) and make an informed decision between you with dialogue.

With regard to the initial post:

the whole point of the Corsair faction is that they must rely on others for their food. While Hogosha and Samura are not great food producers, this whole problem is out of what corsairs should be. It's like saying that OCs found a cure for Cardi and are now administrating it only to get the positive results. I'm sorry but this is bull****, and all the crap with the attack on the zoners is also bull****. What? You want to control Theta? Well, we're playing FL here, not some strategy game so [Breaking news] You can't have a system just because you want. All parties involved in that must agree, and from what I can see, zoners are not agreeing to let the sairs in their backyard.

The corsairs aren't saying the Zoners are bad for not delivering food. It's the Zoners who keep saying that they deliver it and so corsairs should be more respectful and honour them for it. Even when they put a gun to their heads. They say it over and over and over and hide behind that like a shield. Corsairs understandably ask for proof and Zoners can't really supply it so it goes back to square one. Corsairs aren't going on about food. Zoners are.
A cure for Cardi?
Not at all. It's like saying the Outcast (2nd largest criminal orgainisation in Sirius) has an agreement with House Bretonia.
The constant attacks on Gamma from the Freeport is not bull****. You seem completely oblivious to it and all the while, you claim neutrality. You can't have it both ways. Try to see this from the other side.
What? They want to control Theta?

I suppose they wouldn't mind but they didn't ask for it did they?
They demanded that their laws are recognised. What?
That all artifact smugglers and food transports bound for corsair bases are to run freely?
That no ship, if caught by a corsair, is allowed to pass that is supplying Corsair enemies?

As for a backyard, it's as much their backyard as it is yours. You happen to have the base there and they are saying you keep it.

I'm tired and pissed to see the first page covered with ooRP hatred and idiotic messages in the communication channel. You forgot the main reason you're here. Don't forget, Sairs, that you have wars at the other side of Sirius. BAF, Mollies, Hessians, OCs and other parties are at your doors while the zoners have no open conflicts. They're more than able to defend Theta and any other system where they're present from your raids. You can't assemble a fleet to take them out because if you could, you could also conquer Rheinland and Hessians would be long gone

I refer you to my earlier paragraphs pertaining to the behaviour of several parties.
As for stepping on Theta, there is little doubt in my mind that the Freeport would have fallen. This however is not RL and the Freeport is indestructable, as are the players. We should all learn to live with that and play the game with that limitation.

Your superiority in PvP fights won't win you the system or the bases in it because, guess what! All zoners have escape pods. And no, killing NPCs doesn't prove anything. Imagine a band of zoners or better OCs killing NPCs right in front of Crete. What would that make them? Victors in a war and you would be all dead or slaves on the maltese cardi fields. Get your act together and stop asking idiotic demands just to have your share of legate gankfests. By the way, corsairs are and will always be starving, even with zoner or any other helper. That's a characteristic of the NPC faction. You can't change it... yet. If you change that, you also loose the reason of piracy and you can become a lawful house of sirius and that won't happen except if Igiss comes in and says it.

Escape pods?
You can't die. The FP is invulnerable. It's a game.
Starving with or without Zoner food?
They see it as starving without Zoner food. Dying from countless attacks with. See where this is going?
As for a lawful house, I'm afraid you have missed the point. They have laws and are a lawful society. It's everyone else that isn't. You see, one mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter and until people can understand the otherside (you may not agree, just understand), they will always be one of the "No U" examples.

And I'm not just talking about Vince as a sair here, I'm talking about the black sails and the other elders as well...

I have absolutely no idea where this comment is going except to wind people up.
