Well, the experience thing is the easiest to answer, in rp most of the members are not flying any craft at all yet. Usagi became leader because what is already written in the 'founding' part, what is being lucky to survive long enought to learn a few basic things about living in the "safer" border worlds, she's intending to pass what she learnt to the others including Joshua. The tech is why this faction is supposed to start pretty much slowly, as getting new equipment and even one ship or two require quite some backing and even more time and precaution, just because Usagi stole her ship it does not mean the Straggler's Brigade steals ships in general. She piled up some money for 1-2 smaller vessels which can be used to slowly (and of course with risk) to earn some profit for investment into better technology. The Brigade will not just start piracy right away, they need some stability including finding some supporters and contacts. That is also one of the things you asked about, at the moment in rp there are only about 5-6 of them meaning they are right at the beginnings, it is now when they first try to form their little 'gang' and keep it together, which might not be successful and it is the challenge of it. And that now explaines why there isn't "sufficient" information about the faction, because informations usually don't refer to details which are non-existent. And so about support and investment, we do not want to pre-do such things with npcs, we rather want to make these in rp with actually players so basicly anyone who wants can take part more or less. I know safety is a luxury on the border worlds, but I also find the idea of absolutely nobody deals with teenagers in a universe where space travel is part of everyday life a bit extreme. It is true that none would take them much seriously, but I am convinced there are other ways to exploit children than just enslaving them. After all the best slave material are work capable men and women, or if there is a need for future new recruits, the best bets are not teenaged children but ones younger than 10 as even the early adolescents are way harder to manipulate the hard way, as they keep grudges easily. Most of people will not do bussiness but some of them would, and it is our challenge to find out who and where they are
The rep is not really about lack of trust, it is more like a not-just-in-rp manifestation of our will to avoid contact if possible. But even the trust part makes sense, so I can elaborate it for you. Do you remember when Toledo was intact and it wasn't really uncommon for swarms of characters even in tagged ships preferring to slip through Alaska rather than to circle around via a few star clusters? Well, as a former admin and a senior member of this community, you understand what I mean as you seen it happen a lot. By example: sometimes even experienced smugglers do shortcuts and the minority just keeps wondering why the majority are still using tradelanes and jumpgates even with the tracking system now existent not just in rp
This faction is all about infernal risks and challenges for even achieving the slightest resemblance to getting some sort of foothold
The criticism is accepted and I think I covered up most of what you said, if there is something important I forgot just let me know. Thanks for the help
And this for everyone: if you find further problems and also have ideas as solutions, please share those thing too with us. It would save us some trouble
