I just ran a patrol through Stuttgart and New Berlin. I went through Stuttgart without any issues. However, it got interesting in New Berlin. I encountered a duo of Red Hessians, attempting to extort pilots that were passing through. A fighter and a bomber, to be exact. The bomber just started to spray and pray with his energy cannons, so I opened fire on them.

After the quick dispatching of the bomber, I took on the fighter. To my dismay, a Roc civillian bomber showed up, presumably an independent pirate ship. The Roc in question offered assistance to the Red Hessian fighter, and they both engaged me.

I was on the losing end of the fight, when I called for assistance to a Rheinland Military pilot, [RM]Lt.Viktor.Amott. He hurried to the area of the battle, and engaged the hostile forces. We combined our firepower on the Roc, and the tides had turned in our favor.

He soon ran out of nanobots, and started fleeing towards the New Berlin star. The crazy bastard got danger-close to the corona of the star, and ended up being destroyed from the intense heat and ultraviolet radiation of the star. That pilot's crazy suicide-scheme was a plan to have the Hessian fighter escape from the scene of the crime.

Sadly, it worked. The Hessian fighter escaped into the closest asteroid field.

But, with two confirmed kills, and one escaped Red Hessian, I'd call it a successful patrol. Make sure Lt. Viktor Amott gets his due credit, though, as I would have been floating with the asteroids if it wasn't for him.
