Omicron Delta, HMCS-Magnificent enroute to New York. Time to arrival 2 days.

Firebird continued to follow the decaying engine trail left by the HMCS-Magnificent. On his long range scanners, he began to pick up a significant amount of debris directly in his path.

Firebird: Too late.

Recognizing some of the debris as the supports for a forward gun, Firebird identified the remains were that of a liberty cruiser; ripped apart by weapons fire and explosive decompression. Continuing to scan the area, Firebird detected that there was not one but two engine trails leaving the area, one belonging to Magnificent, the other a fighter moving at top speed and ahead by several minutes.

Firebird: Must be a fighter assigned to the cruiser. It should be able to contact Prison Station Mitchell in Alaska and warn them. God, I hope theres enough time.

Firebird continued to follow the course of the Magnificent towards the jump-hole to Alaska.

Estimated Time of the Magnificents Arrival: Saturday January 21, 11PM GMT
