agreed. we're not trying to go for any kind of liberation. we're just saying to the miners 'hey, this is dublin, we have a truce with baf, so we're collecting money for work permits. taxes from pirates are not our concern - hire escorts. 1mill is not a huge amount of money, when two people can make 50m an hour, so its more of me trying to get some RP in dublin, rather than a bunch of gankers whose RP has absolutely nothing to do with dublin treating miners as cashcows, and not respecting the place that they are in.

hmmm.. hadnt thought about that one yet. technically, the Garda ARE indies, but we (when i get around to writing something) say that we get our authority from the Molly council - so we're happy to follow the official molly factions (who srsly need to log in once in a while, or i'll be pushing for their officialness being revoked so i can claim it)
generally, in game, I make a group with all the indies. I ask the miners if their work permit is up-to-date. if their work permit IS up to date (i.e. they cough up a mill) i ask the indies in system to leave them alone. I can't force them too, and of course, any miner that has a potty mouth or a bad attitude towards the Garda i kinda look the other way when they're suffering from 'involuntary donations'.
