That was...quite an event...

This transmission deals with the details of the most recent conflict between us, the SCRA, and Colonial/IMG forces.

It began when scouts of ours found out about a large enemy force coalescing at the IMG station known as "Java". We dispatched a force consisting of several 13th Squadron and Secondary Fleet pilots, to try and quell the threat. We underestimated our enemy, and, they failed.

Seeing the power of their growing forces, we sent as many pilots as possible into Tau-37 and Tau-23, in an attempt to choke their pathway to Malta. We fought valiantly, but, the Colonials managed to occupy enough of our forces to allow a large bomber force to break through. The remaining 13th Squadron pilots, as well as the secondary fleet pilots, could not disengage. As such, only the 101st pilots in the area could pull back. We scattered the bomber wing, and critically damaged one. However, before we could put a real dent in their forces, they managed to destroy a large part of our defensive forces. We pursued once they began retreating, but, it was of no use.

In retaliation, we decided to strike the remaining forces around Java. Using a force made up of almost every single remaining vessel we had flying, we stormed the position. Several of their fighters were destroyed, while a handful of others fled the area. We also managed to disable their gunboat forces. One simply fled, after taking heavy damage. The other, which was known as "Buddy", seemed to have a severe ion leak - targetting his vessel proved very difficult.

While his missiles proved effective - I took several direct hits - we soon managed to overpower him, using both a storm of fighter weaponry, and several critical strikes from my antimatter cannon.

We pulled out, afterward, although a few pilots stayed behind to cause further damage. Due to heavy damage to my Orchid's propulsion fans, I had to bring it in for a rough landing, on Malta.
