After buying and completing Mass Effect 3 with an imported character from ME2 that experienced no problems with importing the face properly whatsoever, if anyone wondered. I can say this:
Mass Effect 3 was pretty damn awesome, you can definitely tell that Drew Karpyshyn (lead writer of ME1 and half of ME2 before leaving to work on SWTOR) is gone, which while sad, also didn't turn out that badly at all, the story was pretty awesome, right up until the last 20 minutes of the game, which I won't spoil. Suffice to say, while the end result was what I expected, the delivery was not handled properly. The endings are all suitable, sure, but they could've been way better, and could've been handled differently in their current state to make them feel 'better'.
I enjoyed Mass Effect 3 quite a bit, but I feel let down about stuff like that, but I know who to point the blame at.
Anyways, as for Day one DLC, it's totally unnecessary, that content is in no way critical to the story of the game as far as I can tell, given that I did perfectly fine without it.
In all, the game's good, no doubt about that. But I'm done with BioWare now because EA has definitely got their claws firmly burrowed into BioWare's hindquarters and they're not gonna let go anytime soon.
BioWare is the next Westwood, no doubt.
So now that I've finished the story of Commander Shepard, I'm done.
