Oh, and green messages were still active on the main server.

There was no such thing as a "gank" back then. One or two people could pull off a slaughter against any number, and any class of ship, given a large enough skill gulf. And of course, there was dual nova cannons, which could be fired three times before a recharge was needed. And those killed dropped the full amount of nanobots and shield batteries. Fighters could even mount, and fire, them...
