The story begins on Planet Denver. Matt and Angel are in day 2 of their relationship. After much soul searching and discussion, they decided that their mutual attraction is enough to throw caution to the wind and try to have a happy, loving relationship. There are many boundaries that will try to stop them. First - War. Times are tough in Liberty - Rheinland is becoming more aggressive and pirates have access to newer and heavier equipment. Second - Duty. Both are Navy officers - How will they cope under the strains of command, justice and sacrifice? Third - Family/Internal matters. Will their families be pleased with developments?
Chapter One - Meeting the Smith family.
Matt has landed on Denver, his homeworld. He breathes in the fresh air, tired of the vac suit that the Guardian subjects him to. He looks towards the Highlands and smirks knowingly. Soon he'll be home, and what a treat it will be. Angel has advised him that she's parking up her fighter in one of the bays. Matt takes this opportunity to call ahead and let his parents know they're coming. His mother has sent a hover cab. The ride should only take a half hour or so. Matt unpacks the stuff in his hold, finding the half full bottle of whisky his father gave him a few months back. He laughs, and packs it in his satchel along with some overnight clothes. Finally, his fighter is parked up a couple of bays down from Angel's Guardian, and they head towards the cab - Upwards and over the Highlands to the Smith residence
"Ye seem nervous Angel, ye alright hon? Dun worry - I'm sure they'll like ye and they won't bite!"
