Chun Ki Ling took his place in the line of people sitting down on the chairs waiting to be called forward. He sat bolt upright, not looking left or right. He did not glance at any of the other recruits. He sat there, stone-faced and disciplined and waited for his name to be called. He did not fear death, he feared failure and the shame it would bring to his family. As such, he sat there. Quiet and unassuming and he waited.
