John listened as the Kanzler spoke, carefully listening to each word he spoke. He nodded his understanding, keeping his hands on his lap as he listened.

"I don't pretend to be a military mind," he explained, "but I do understand your needed military presence in Omega 7. I don't know the Red Hessians the way you do but based on what you said of them, I can understand it. My dealings with them have been virtually non-existent. I can only hope that when I explain this to the Queen that she accepts the reasoning."

He sipped his water, "Bretonia has always been my most difficult task. They are very set in their ways.
Herr Kanzler, I can only promise to try and again talk to them about this. My only question will be, in an effort to bring the two ruling parties together, that I could host a meeting between you two. It may be better in the long run to bring you face to face. I think both houses have much to gain by it. I would even be willing to host it on neutral ground, my very own home in Gran Canaria."

"As for us, the Zoners, there is little we require from Rheinland besides the goods we come here to buy. Rheinland offers much that we use. MOX for the Freeport reactors used in conjunction with plutonium, engine components for our ships and even food stuffs that we don't produce ourselves. We will continue to buy these products."

He finished with, "while I don't represent all Zoners, I think most will agree. If you, Kanzler, have nothing further of me, I will make my way to Bretonia." He paused a moment and smirked, "After, of course, a short stop home to visit my wife."
