"I tell you what," Lev started. "I've spend years flying this way and that in this universe, I seen most the sights we can see. I've stared into the neutron star in Omega 5, had philosophical discussions with some robot Togo, I've courted the commadore of the Liberty navy, and lived with Mal, one of the greatest leaders a rag tag bunch of outsiders could ever have. I have sat on the Council of Zoners and witnessed the diplomacy of Siruis first hand. Many would say I have led a special life, that I am blessed. I am, but not for the reasons most people think." Lev poured another drink for the man across the bar, and then poured himself a glass and leaned back against the bar again. "Ya see, it's not who I've met, or what event I have been a part of, or what I have seen. The value is that I have had the chance to meet so many people, to make personal connections, to develop relationships with so many, so diverse people. I've traveled throughout Sirius, and have found that no matter how far I go, people are still pretty much the same. The same fears and hopes, the same dreams and nightmares, the same love and loss. I have seen the thing most of humanity has missed, this things that make us the same are much much greater than the things that make us different. It's how I live my life, if we understand that all of humanity is family, and we treat them that way, how could you ever raise a hand against another?" Lev sipped on the drink and lit his pipe again.
