Real big problem

Today I made Vista my B***h. I fixed the problem by changing the install directories from where I was putting then normally. Then I used a registry editor/cleaner to clear out any FL stuff (said it didn't find any but deleted 3 files) then finally I used a copy of the 4.83 mod pre-unzipped I copied from my XP machine before it blew up. (I tried to revive my old Xp machine but it really blew up, scorched the motherboard and fried the hard drive. Very neat.) All my stuff seems to be back to normal. If you guys need copies of my files I'll be more then happy to send them. Was about to take a mace to the damn thing.

Actually, would you mind explaining in a more detailed form of what you did, for future reference... Because most likely this problem will come up again. And it would be good if we had a tutorial or somewhat to explain with.
