"How in the name of blue hell did you do that?" he gasped as he took a step backwards on instinct.

Iscariot tapped the helmet as he regarded the Coalition soldier. "I have more than my eyes to trust."

After the soldier had dived away, he gave in to the lure of technology and activated the infrared mode, tracking the Coalitioner's heat signature. A basic understanding of the hospital let him head the man off and come out in front. This was the first time the IR mode had worked on the planet, the hospital was protected from radiation in its construct, apparently. Infrared radiation wasn't the dangerous kind, but it was as flooded in certain areas as gamma radiation.

Before he could say anything else, the hospital shook and dust fell from the ceiling. Iscariot bit off a curse and looked behind him to the source of the explosion, then began running towards the lobby not looking to see if the soldier was following him. He burst into the lobby to see a few dead and dying bandits, but several more on their feet.

These *******s again. Iscariot raised his rifle and shot it into the ceiling to draw their attention. When they turned to see what was behind him, he got to work.
