By the time Miller had pushed open the door, he'd devised a scheme to escape. Allow the bandits to move deep, deep into the hospital, then slip past them, steal one of their ATVs and take off. A simple plan, but it was the best Miller could come up with. Proceeding deeper into the hospital could trap him or have him lose his way.

The once white-washed walls were now collapsing and the host of some sort of mould. Doors had fallen off hinges, desk shelves littered the floor with computer monitors and various stationary items, and graffiti had been sprayed across every speck of white wall.

When can their glory fade? O the wild charge they made! All the world wonder'd. Honour the charge they made! Honour the Light Brigade, noble six hundred!

The poem ended, much to Miller's relief. Why had he been thinking about that poem in the first place? He kept running down corridors, choosing random routes but memorising the way back to the door. Left, right, third left, right, second right...

The front doors were kicked open, and boots began storming in.

'We know you're in here!' Came a barbaric voice. Miller could imagine the man wielding a stick or axe, muscles bulging from excessive physical workouts and wearing a combination of fur and metal armour. He chuckled. 'We know you're in here', the man repeated, 'and we're going to search this entire building until we find you. All sixty of us! You hear me boy!? We're going to find you!' The barbarian was screaming at the top of his lungs now, anger - no, rage - directing him now.

Miller kept moving, against his own judgement, deeper into the hospital. It would take a while before sixty men became spread out enough to pass without notice.
